About Prose:Prose is a new, chef-driven restaurant in Woodland Hills, CA, with a focus on refined, ingredient-forward cuisine. Led by Chef David Gussin, Prose offers a dynamic, seasonal menu that balances bold flavors with precise technique. We are looking for a Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen, maintain high execution standards, and foster a strong, collaborative team culture.The Role:As Chef de Cuisine, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency. You’ll work closely with Chef Gussin to execute the restaurant’s vision while managing daily service, staff development, and cost control.Be organized. Not only within the kitchen and storage, but also when managing order guides, spreadsheets, and station guides.Lead kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and high-quality execution.Train, mentor, and manage the culinary team to maintain consistency and excellence.Work closely with Chef Gussin on menu development, ingredient sourcing, and plating.Oversee kitchen scheduling, inventory management, and cost controls.Maintain food safety, sanitation, and organization standards.Foster a positive, disciplined kitchen culture with a focus on teamwork and accountability.Collaborate with FOH leadership to ensure seamless kitchen-to-table execution.Qualifications:5+ years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 2 years in a CDC or Executive Sous Chef role.Deep understanding of ingredient-driven, seasonal cooking with strong technical skills.Leadership experience with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and consistency.Experience with food cost control, labor management, and kitchen efficiency.Passion for hospitality and a commitment to creating an exceptional guest experience.Compensation & Benefits:Competitive salary Health benefits stipendPerformance-based incentivesGrowth opportunities within an independently owned restaurantHow to Apply:If you are a driven, skilled chef who thrives in a high-caliber kitchen, we want to hear from you.
